Makeup Manic Me

Lately, I have been super obsessed with makeup, expanding my makeup collection and skincare which is something new for me especially when I never had any interest in the past. Yes, only clothes, bags and shoes hog my mind previously!

It must be Sephora. Really. I love Sephora. Going to Sephora is the same as kids going to Disneyland. It is the only beauty store that makes me smile the moment I step in. There is always something I want to buy, there is always something that catches my fancy and there is always something I need to buy like NOW. It is the place where logic does not exist.

Dangerous place, I must say.

So The Friend and I are planning a huge spree next month (which is in practically in a week's time) and I am uber excited! Not right now because I am still in the midst of collating so I would have a rough idea of what I would like to get (if I don't collate, my bank account will never recover from the sheer torture). There are so many things I want to purchase and try out, especially since new products were introduced to me recently.

Hmmm, I am considering the idea of doing a beauty haul so let's see how it goes then!

Anyway, these are what I wore this week:

Rainy Thursday

Woke up freezing and realised that it was raining yesterday (and went on to rain pretty much the whole day) so you can imagine how pleased I am! A good break from the usual heat that we usually experience everyday living on this sunny island.

Immediately, I knew I had to wear my latest outerwear acquisition which kept me pretty warm throughout the day. I just can't get enough of this beautiful piece! Don't you love it too?

Cardigan: Online
T-shirt dress: New Look
Necklace: F21
Leggings: Korea
Sandals: Mondo
Bag: Bugis

I have to confess though. I have a problem resisting purchasing lovely looking jackets / cardigans / vests even though I won't wear them as often as I should or are totally inappropriate for our weather here. I have a whole rack with hangers and hangers of outerwear and most are barely worn.

Oops!

One Day

Hair Update! - Visited The Hairstylist last weekend where she chopped off several inches off my hair and that was it. No perming was done to give my hair a good break as it has been done twice since January and this year has not even ended! Initially, I was very apprehensive over the new length she was about to give me but she assured me it would be fine. And it did. It looks sleeker and a lot fresher than before. A pleasant change from what I had planned earlier and wanted to go for.

------------------------------------

One day when I am reeking of cash, I will get these...

Hello beautiful YSL Arty rings.

Having a nasty track record for accessories, I can't splurge on any (most of mine are affordable pieces from F21) because admittedly, I don't take very good care of them as I should be. Most of them do not have a lifespan of even a day. So I am resigned that YSL Arty rings will never be in my shopping list.

But aren't they absolutely gorgeous to look at? (Beams)

I WANT MY HAIR LIKE THAT

As you can see from my previous pics, my hair officially needs a revamp. Unruly, frizzy, out of shape and have lost the curls since my second perming session this year, it needs to see my hairstylist asap. But I have no clue what I should be doing next. Sighs.

I do have some ideas but they are all over the place. Below are two different styles I would love my hair to look like but I cannot decide:

Love, love, love the hair above and can I mention how much I love her outfits too?

I really liked my curly hair. Am so tempted to go back to having them... Gave me volume my hair never had but maintenance of curls is a pain in the butt.

If not a decision is made, I guess this would be my final choice.

Hmmm...

Yesterday I wore my favourite outfit...

Had a horrid migraine attack on Wednesday and I knew Thursday's workdrobe means comfy and wearing outfits I love. Btw, I simply adore my pants below though it needed lots of convincing with myself to get it because I thought I would not wear it. Now, it has become one of my favourite pants because it is incredibly comfy and cute!

Top: Mango
Pants: Bugis
Sandals: Charles & Keith
Bag: Bugis
Belt: Code Red
Sunglasses: RayBan Wayfarers

Funny thing, whenever I am sick etc, I will always... tend to dress a lot better. I love wearing bright pieces that cheers me up or favourite outfits which makes me look like a billion bucks. It is my instant remedy, something I do for myself when I am not feeling my best. Through fashion, I learnt that feeling great and looking good makes you stand up straighter, smile even wider. Simple things like dressing up with the outfits you love and that makes you look awesome, gives you the confidence and boosts your self esteem.

Tell me, do you do that as well? ;)

On Tuesday, I..

Wore...

Blue shirt: Random
Black tank dress: Cotton On
(Does anyone agree that they are getting way too expensive?
Or maybe I am simply too accustomed to paying cheap prices for the clothes previously. Oh well.)
Sneakers: Converse
Necklace: Forever 21
Sunglasses: RayBan Wayfarers

Comfort shoes for a half day full of walking and shopping with The Mum and The Sis. Yes, Tuesday was VERY crowded. Walking around and trying to find a good place to eat in Orchard was a nightmare for a person who does not love crowds like me. But nothing stops me from having a good time with them!

Wore my fav ring...

Excuse my fat and stubby fingers. Pardon my marker stained nails. Love my ring. Don't you love how crazy and huge it looks? Pity the diamond on the bottom lip dropped halfway through the day. Sighs.

Had yogurt twice...

Have I mentioned I LOVE yogurts? Had them twice that day! Got to try Sour Sally's choc flavour with aloe vera toppings which was good but Red Mango's Mango flavour was... kinda odd. I still liked Red Mango though! The first flavour I tried from them was (I think, if my memory hasn't failed me) melon and it was awesome.

That pretty much summed up how I spent the last day of my long weekend. How did yours go? :)
