Spring Clean

Just started a mini shoe spring cleaning, to clear away shoes that should have long gone to the bin and shoes that I don't even wear anymore even if I were to keep it for the next 100 years. Admittedly, I also needed space for new shoes to come in... :)

Okay, so I have a lot, okay, too many clothes I haven't worn before / worn 1 or 2 times / never try but bought it anyway and it doesn't fit or stuff that I bought with the dreams of being able to squeeze into... and I would really love to get rid of it pronto!

Not only it is eating space into my wardrobe, precious space I must add, I can't see any of the new clothes I bought anymore because all I am seeing are the clothes-that-should-be-gone blocking my lovely view :(

So I am going to continue my spring cleaning. Out with the old and in with the new.

It will hurt like a bitch (throwing out my precious clothes) but I know it will be a good thing.

Freaking Expensive

I just blew off S$210 on alteration service for a blazer.

And it is damn expensive okay! Seriously, never in my life have I spent this much on anything... except for my darling iTouch.

------------

Story goes, I found this amazing black blazer at F21 but problem is, it is waayy to big for me. However, it is only available in M, last piece and sold out everywhere else! I know the look is 'oversized' but I don't want to look as if I have a black sack over me and Bockwurst looking arms. After the SA convinced me that alteration is the next best solution, I decided to buy the jacket impulsively. Being me, I will still buy it anyway.

Earlier, I visited an alteration store and discovered that it cost REALLY HIGH to alter a jacket. Since, I do not want to waste any time trying to search for another reputable place, I decided to plop down the cash and left the jacket in their good hands. To add, even if I do not choose to alter my jacket today, I will end up altering my jacket some other days.

------------

I am beginning to sober up as my clothing budget is going out of hand for the longest time and I have been busting my bank account every month. Wisely, I am thinking about the way I shop. I am quite through with buying cheap clothing especially for jackets as it may not fit properly. Not saying the F21 jacket because it is not CHEAP!

But come to think about it, if I am going to buy a $50 plus jacket to have it fitted poorly and having to alter it, I might as well just get a better jacket that FITS at $200 plus. Money and time wise, it makes sense.

I am going for Quality, no more Quantity.

Grrr, I need to start eating grass for real this time.

No more spending till the next month.
