(In the midst of watching this amazing Korean drama as I am typing this but it is getting really boring and draggy so I decided to blog instead.)
In the past during the student days, I could live on S$10 a day. It was easy and no brainer, just come home for lunch and dinner every night and you can save that cash for a brand new pair of shoes and / or bag (depending on where you are planning to get it from lah)! And it is going to school, learn and study, how much can you spend anyway?
When I started working early this year, living on S$10 daily was FREAKING HARD. Firstly, transport is a BITCH. Stupid new ez-link card does not allow you to travel with less that S$3. Fine. I will top up S$30 each trip then. It will save ME the hassle of going 'DAMN! Didn't I just topped it up yesterday?'
Secondly, my addiction to taking cabs (I am one lazy lady) despite being very, very, very prone to carsickness can be extremely costly. Per trip can cost me S$20 and more! I once paid S$35 for a trip from the North to City Area. My heart sobbed as my wallet was brutally abused. But I am improving. I rarely to never take cabs to work anymore because it is unrealistic and expensive. Taking the train, it will be faster and a MILLION times cheaper. Can you believe it? The time of my train journey is practically the same to taking a cab to work???!!! Maybe it is just me or recently, this year, roads have become insanely congested and jammed with SO MANY VEHICLES. Jams are crazy and I am never good with them. Meter keeps running, my heart keep jumping and my mind goes weak. Enough said!
Thirdly, my love for expensive food, or rather places that are expensive. I love Japanese food and steaks / beef, how?
Finally, I love shopping and buying clothes. Fashion is one of my best friends. Yes, I am a shopaholic. I can't resist not buying anything I fancy which is the main reason why I am always penniless.
So the verdict is:
I AM REALLY GOING TO BE FRUGAL THIS TIME!
(Fuckness, I just forgot that I want to buy that S$50 plus bag! Grrr...)
Reasons:
1) I am buying a camera. A good, mouthwatering one. Cause the current one is like in freaking stone age or something! Can't believe we even paid over S$200 for it.
2) I will be travelling soon!!! Yup, The Mum, The Sis and I are in the midst of planning a trip to the Big Apple or London for next year. So exciting!!! Yes, I am planning to shop loads so I need money!
3) The Fam and I are planning for a getaway before this year ends. Again, I need money to shop.
4) I hate being penniless by the end of the month.
